The Hunt for the Moon Cheese

Deep beneath the moon's surface, the infamous Moon Cheese can be found, according to the rumours that Rasmus Rat has heard.

After sneaking on a spaceship and landing on the moon, he needs your help to find and eat the Moon Cheese!

Screenshot of a 2D pixelart videogame. A blue rat is digging through Blocks towards a small glowing cheese. Screenshot of the same game. The blue rat is climbing up a tower to reach a glowing cheese.
Screenshot of the same game in a dialogue sequence. An angry, white rat wearing a head mirror is saying 'What do you want?' in Norwegian.

This game was made in two weeks for the Winter project at Sunnhordland, and can be downloaded and played on itch.io.

The entire game is in Norwegian, so have a translator ready :-]

The Team

Six people dressed formally posing for the camera, balloons in the background.

From left to right: Zoë, Maya [me], August, Emma, Ezra, Lykke.

We were named AZMLEE [pronounced awesomely], due to us being awesome and also because of our initials.

Zoë worked on level design, music and particles, I worked on the dialogue + shop system and was the project manager, and August was our lead programmer as well as a level designer.

Emma made the opening cutscene as well as the banner and thumbnail, Ezra drew the tileset and UI art assets, and Lykke made the player character, Rottann, the animations and the poster.

Our honorary member, Sigve, was kind enough to make the main background track for the game. Thank you Sigve
